Lock: *looks very impressive* LPL: So you have chosen...Rake.
Google: Did you mean point two seconds?
Lets do this a few more times just to flex on the guy from St Louis
No, this is a great example of why I avoid Chinese products!
Which american dialect is the lawyer speaking in, anyone know?
Lmao! What is your profession? You know so much about locks
@J C Man's gotta have a hobby.
@brch2 but I mean how he learned so much about lockpicking
I would say the name he goes by is a HUGE clue... "LockPickingLAWYER".
I would put it a little higher than the worst of the worst after seeing Bosnian Bills Self Picking lock!
I am just going to hang a Z bar in place of my locks.
Nice try wrapping the keys Tony
Why do we still trade with China at all?
Dude, next step is what? Opening by sneeze ?
"Two pound lock" - well, I wouldn't imagine much security for something that cheap. Oh, wait...
two pounds of shit! 😂
I’ve been watching the LockPickingLawyer long enough to learn I’m just going to use dry gum to secure my belongings from now on
"Worst of the worst" . . .you just had to take the last thing Master Lock was holding onto didn't you?
Do you think you can pick the bunker safe in Nova Scotia?
I find it hilarious that all kinds of companies use the term SECURITY on their products... from cameras, alarm systems to locks. SECURITY is a guy standing there with a shotgun ready to STOP wrong do-ers. A lock is a "deterrent". A camera is "surveillance" and an alarm system is just that... and "alarm". ALL of which are trash in my opinion for SECURING things.
lmao he had to pick it 3x to make the vid 2 mins
Worst of the worst is something special, just not best of the best.
Does he just have encyclopedic knowledge of all of his videos?
Santiao is such a perfect name for a Chinese knock-off of a Spanish product.
Stop it! Is dead already!
105 Chinese lock manufactor dislikes
Honestly, that’s probably quicker than it would take to get your keys out of your pocket and find the right one.
I have a challenge for you LPL: Make a video where you dont use your lockpicks and instead have to improvise with things around the house or cutting your own piece of metal into a jiggler or better yet, bobby pins only
I had two tabs of videos open. One I started to watch but immediately paused to go do something. I came back and clicked on the wrong tab. Pressed play. "This is the-" Oh no, wrong video I think. I go back to the original video I intended to watch: "-The lockpicking lawyer," They were synced. So.. beautifully. THank you.
After watching LPL's videos and seeing the price of half decent locks I'm wondering whether an M8 bolt and a couple of lock nuts are not the way to go. If you have the spanners in your pocket anyway then most locks are not going to be a problem but you're not getting past them with a strip of coke can or a rake and a tension bar.
chinese cisa copy is a paperweight
What if someone sent you a fake lock. It looks like a real one except there will be no correct combination. And when you take it apart it will reveal a troll face. SOMEONE MAKE THIS HAPPEN PLZ!
Can't wait for Master Lock to copy this hefty gem...
Would the undulations of a zip tie be enough to rake the lock as demonstrated in this video? It looks like it might be possible to tension and rake the lock with a zip tie cut in half.
Aaannnddd Jeffery Epstein didn't kill himself
They all should Mark it with "FLOP SECURITY".
British guy: "Well? What did you expect from a two pound lock?"
s8w5 HA i get it! It's bc british money is heavy
Chinese knock-offs of products should not be sold outside of their commie utopia. Seize them by customs at the border, melt them down for scrap.
It wasn't a fluke, it was a haddock, and it opened the lock in 3 seconds just using his tail...
Sometimes I feel sorry for the people who send locks to this guy.
Took the guy more time and effort to tape up the keys than to actually pick the lock
Someone in Santiao will lose his job today
Using a key seems to be more of a hassle than lockpicking it
Locks are for honest people
Me smells a fluke or three!
Very sobering, your videos. It must feel incredibly empowering to know that most locks that us simps rely on to protect our property and possessions, can be picked by 'basic skilled locksmiths' in seconds.
That is quite a chunk of resources consumed for such a lousey product.
The 5 sec commercial lasted longer then this lock
Hi, I wonder if I might have your advice. I've been considering getting this lock, what are your thoughts on it for about $40. www.1st-chainsupply.com/chain/security_maxx/security-chain-3-8/index.htm#padlock It is going to be used with a 3/8 thru hardened chain to secure/tether a moped that has to live outside but under a car port. Many Thanks for your advice.
"Let's do that a few more times" *please stop, he's already dead*
I want to machine an unpickable lock. I have a few ideas...
We need an 'LPL' certified/approved lock stamp for companies.
Where can I get a "DIMPLE RAKE"?
Lock owner totally destroyed!
This title is misleading, that was way less than two seconds.
A two pound lock? More like a two £ lock.
What dimple rake would you recommend please as I'm trying to build up my lock tools and don't have a dimple rake ( yet ) ..Thanking you in advance. Paul.
where is the secret button to open the lock?
Show the keys too.
I mean sure its a bad lock but isnt the looks of the lock the most important? After all a lock is only there to keep an honest man honest...
How dare they call that lock "top security". Smh..
Considering there are guys like him who can pick pretty much every lock I am starting to think to build a concrete wall instead of having a front door😂
Perdona los chinos copiandose de los españoles? Donde he visto yo eso
How hard is it to make an adequate dimple rake out of things you can find around the house or at a hardware store?
I think a dollar store lock is more safe that the top security ones
Trash engineering by chan chug hao
Jaja taped the "keys"
The key says it all
I can't trust any lock anymore
So it would be quicker to pick the lock than unwrap the keys. I might just gaffa tape my shed closed. They'll move on to something easier to get into.
Geeez I have one of these...
Vine por Un Poco De Todo
Lol, took the sender way longer to wrap the keys than it took LPL to open the lock ...
Lock so atrocious, LPL tosses the rake.
Any chance u could send me some tools to get started? I watch alot of these vids but dont have any tools to try picking. I have a nice set on my wish list at £110 but i will probably never have that money spare. Im rather poor. Pretty please? I would do u a favour in return
I'm sure that an absolute beginner wouldn't need a $100 set. I had a quick look on Amazon, and they had some stuff for beginners from $5-$20. I mean if you don't want to spend anything to see if you like it or not, I am sure you can try with bobby pins, there are lots of tutorials on how to do that.
The chinese. Should just name their stuff. KNOCKOFF
omg this lock is used every where here. EVERY WHERE IN EVERY SHOP .
Mr. LPL, is there a core that you consider more difficult to pick by scruffs on the street? I notice you have to use a special tool for disc detainers, is that the only way to pick them? Are there other cores that can only be opened with "special" tools?
ironically the tape used to secure the keys would probably offer more resistance than the padlock.
When listening to the LPL videos from 2015 and before it seems to me that his voice is higher pitched nowadays. But that's almost impossible. That means that todays videos are shown at a slightly higher speed.
@Frosted Galaxies Of course it is accurate . Or do you think the timer would advance slower than the time of the video?
Not really. There are many reasons that could be, better mics, people's voices pitch can change based on who they've been around, these videos may be voice recorded at a different time, the pitch could have been shifted automatically, heck even the old videos could be slowed down. These videos can't really be sped up because in a couple videos he uses a real timer on screen which is accurate.
ITS. NEVER. A. FLUKE.
Why not to buy in china. Its more than just locks they suck at making
the only use that is for is lock picking practise
Open again and one last time to tell that person that sent me this to stfu oming have a nice day lol
Has it ever been a fluke?
Lock & unlock door house in seconds
Try at door house in seconds
"Let's do that a few more times just to rub their nose in it."
2 minute video, but only 9 seconds allocated to opening the lock, three times
He forgot to mention video [Amazon’s Choice “High Security Padlock”] where it was the exact same lock but by a different brand.
The body "looks" imposing, so a question does come to mind... Is the body hardened, leaving the weak point as just the cylinder? If so, could the cylinder be pulled and replaced with something better (leaving you a reasonable lock)? It seems likely that in a cheap knock-off like this, that the body is probably soft and wouldn't take more than a couple of seconds with a grinder. On the other hand, I have seen other (not lock related) products where the cheap and nasty part could be replaced, leaving a reasonably decent product at a lower cost than similar decent quality off the shelf version.
this video can be summarized easily in a poem Roses are red, violets aren't blue I am the lock picking lawyer and that's all I have for you
Is there any padlock you actually recommend ?
It always makes me so happy to find out that it wasn't a fluke. 😁
Locks only keep honest people out.
You should try the Cellmate Male Chastity Lock :)
Can you pick this lock ? facebook.com/7155422274/posts/10159358099737275/?extid=0&d=n
So they think the guy that can pick any lock can‘t unwrap and rewrap a Key.😂🤣
